A new exhibition at White Cube Gallery showcases works by Italian artist Pier Paolo Calzolari, bringing together the most interesting sculptures of this well-regarded artist who is affiliated with the Arte Povera movement, even though in 1972 he rejected this association when he publicly declared it over. Calzolari is famous for his unique ability to transform different kinds of materials into a work of art - balancing elements in different states, such as lead, ice, fire, and neon in installations or tableaux vivants. His work engages in a kind of alchemy, and aims to highlight ‘pure’ whiteness, something that can only be found in nature.

The art world can be very competitive, and it is especially challenging for emerging artists and recently graduated art students to have the chance to show their art. Last year, a superb initiative was launched - AucArt - which is an online auction house that focuses on artists in their final year of university, BA and MA, as well as up to three years out of art school. This month, AucArt is teaming up with UAL: Central Saint Martins final year BA students for an online /offline collaboration. The 2018 graduating class will auction off their work to raise money for their degree show. Curated by the third year Fine Art Student Committee, there is an interesting selection of mediums including painting, photography, and second sculptural works. Every day for the entire month of March one artwork will be uploaded at 7 p.m. (GMT), and each auction will last a week. Hurry up to get a first look at the rising stars of the art world!

Don’t miss out on a meeting with one of the most original, talented and brightest personalities of London’s fashion industry, British menswear designer John Alexander Skelton. Known for attention to sustainable design ethos, Skelton recycles and then reuses fabrics, which he often finds in markets, hand-drying these materials to create unique and inspiring fashion items.
This event takes place on Friday March 23, from 3 p.m. until 8.30 p.m., at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Cromwell Road, London, SW7 2RL and is free of charge

BMW Tate Live: Ten Days Six Nights

Tate Modern is currently the only museum in the world with areas dedicated to experimental art, and has been presenting live performances since 2003. This year's BMW Tate Live Festival celebrates the influence of Joan Jonas - a pioneer of performance and video art, also coinciding with the artist’s exhibition in the museum’s main galleries. Joan has pushed the boundaries of art for the last five decades and influenced many artists of the younger generations. The Ten Days Six Nights exhibition also features performances by artists such as jazz pianist and composer Jason Moran; Chilean-American artist Sylvia Palacios Whitman; and Turner Prize winner Mark Leckey.
The installation will be on view until March 25 at the Tate Modern, Bankside, London, SE1 9TG

John Stezaker: Love

Approach Gallery is showcasing a selection of 1970s Photo-romantic collages by celebrated British artist John Stezaker. This show will appeal to a broad audience due to its universal subject matter. For the past four decades, the artist has focused on themes of love, desire and betrayal. While his early works often highlight communication (via speech bubbles, the telephone and facial expressions), this latest series draws attention to the importance of touch through the image of embrace and hands.
