Miami 2016

Art Basel Miami, is happening soon, December 1 – 4 and will, of course, attract many visitors and art buyers.

Julio Le Parc (born 1928, in Argentina) is a central figure in participatory kinetic art. His first solo exhibition, which includes more than 100 works from the years 1985 until 2013, tries to showcase the artist goal to break down barriers between artwork, viewer and museum. This is an unprecedented opportunity, so we highly recommend you to see this exhibition.

 

Susan Hiller: Lost and Found

Commissioned by Pérez Art Museum Miami and making its debut in this exhibition, Hiller’s video Lost and Found features an audio collage of voices speaking in 23 different languages, including Aramaic, Comanche, Livonian and other extinct or endangered idioms. Many of the anecdotes, songs, arguments, memories, and conversations that the voices relay revolve around the theme of language itself.

Ugo Rondinone is a swiss-born artist that lives and works in New York. His artworks are often themed around the experimentation with the everyday, whereas his most recent work is an installation of vivid, neon color stones that called "Seven Magic Mountains". We highly recommend you to check his new sculpture piece right in front of the museum on November 30.

Born in Cuba, Antuan Rodriguez fascinated by the power of Art. As he states, Art has an excellent relationship with seduction, slowly revealing us thought and reality. Thus, he wants to make the observer part of the artwork, with the intention to touch the moment. Definitely worth a visit.

Originally founded for education equality in Cuba in 1962, this institution has evolved into much more. The Shelley and Donald Rubin Private Collection of Cuban Art includes works by many of the island-nation’s foremost women artists. Spanning from the 1960s to the present, these works represent a wide range of media and genres. There is no doubt that this exhibition will be very interesting.
